- Used for
- Fever, Headache, Body ache, Post-vaccination pain, Menstrual cramps
- Adult dose
- 500–650 mg every 6 h, max 3 g/day (4 tablets of 650 mg)
- Child dose
- 10–15 mg/kg every 6 h (Calpol syrup 250 mg/5 mL)
- Duration
- Up to 3 days for fever, review if not improving
- How to take
- After food, with a glass of water
- Side effects
- Rare rash, Liver injury on overdose
- Avoid if
- Severe liver disease, Chronic alcohol use, G6PD deficiency (caution)
- Interactions
- Warfarin (raises INR with prolonged use)
